It would be hard to pick a more fun, proficient and delightful camera to own. We like the Fujifilm FinePix Z5fd a lot. It's really grat to use and puts the fun back into photography without compromising too much on image quality. Lots of useful technology in a pretty package. Also consider:

Fuji finepix Z5fdReviewer: Simon Warren, Perth, Scotland This camera appears to do everything well except for taking a quality photo. I've had one of these for a few weeks. Exposure, focus, colour rendition etc are spot-on, BUT every shot has so much "salt and pepper" electronic noise as to be unusable. Even in very good outdoor light, where the data shows 1/300sec, F4.9 iso 100, viewing the photo on screen at 100% clearly shows enough noise to spoil the photo. And indoor shots, or evening outdoors shots, are unusable. This camera is a good toy, and nice for showing friends the results on it's own screen, but that's all.
