The Olympus E-330 is well put together and the only interchangeable-lens camera which lets you compose shots on the LCD. Be aware, though, that this is the E-330’s only advantage over a number of cheaper cameras, including the very good E-500. It produces faithful images with a rich film like quality. Also consider:

Great cameraReviewer: Guy Roberts, Bridgetown, Barbados I bought one a few months ago for $570 with 2 lenses. Ignore the 7.9mp because the amount of information captured along with the clarity of the pictures is superb. The live view feature with the articulating screen is very useful and a great feature. This is a camera I will never be without.
Before its too late!Reviewer: Glyn Rutter, Skipton, U.K. I just bought one for a mere £299. the quality of the build and the Live view is great. I second all comments below. They are going fast at this price.
Part 3 - finallyReviewer: MakeAnImageADay, Buckinghamshire, UK Part 3 - finally - Hi,
If your about to buy a Canon 400D, Pentax 10D, Nikon D80, you must do yourself a favour & pick up this camera before you invest elsewhere. At a street price of £549 with a great 'standard zoom' it's a bargain! Invest in some software to make any enlargements beyond A3 & you will still have change from a Sony Alpha & naff standard lens from many dealers....I sound like I'm paid by Olympus or something I wish I was!
Don't leave home without it :o)
Part 2Reviewer: MakeAnImageADay, Buckinghamshire, UK Part 2 - Hi,
The Live View feature is a aspect which all the reviews I read seemed to focus on in an almost 'well this is what this camera is all about' kind of way - perhaps Olympus marketeers prompted that? It is a far better camera than I imagined before I bought it. The Live View is great & the flip out screen makes it feel like my Bronica SQAi or any camera with a screen view - very useful & potentially offering more creativity.
The 4/3'rds sensor can be 'noisy' at 800ASA and above, but with the cheaper high quality Olympus lenses available you can work like I have been doing, a stop wider for lower ASA. Also if you use Noise Ninja software you will have no problems later.
For those who love Velvia & medium format Pt 1Reviewer: MakeAnImageADay, Buckinghamshire, UK Part 1 - Hi,
If your a silver halide convert like the majority of us at this stage of the DSLR development, you will love this camera.
I have a 10MP APSC sized sensor camera & the 'mere' 7.5MP of this camera knocks spots off it! If you want to enlarge your prints then I advise the use of Genuine Fractals software, or similar - it will still show a clean pair of heels to a Canon 5D (nearly 13MP!)
It handles beautifully, it has many(/all?) features that are found on £1K price point DSLR's & the Olympus lenses are superb! Don't forget that they are lighter and most have dust & splash/rain sealing. Their range is 2X (as opposed to 1.5/1.6X which makes for great wildlife/sports potential. Also many of the range have f/2.8 as 'standard!' (Canon's 'L' range often at a premium for that alone).
