The Pentax *IST DL feels nice and solid, thanks to its strong, stainless steel chassis. Slight over-processing on the JPEG images produces less than perfect results, but RAW mode shows the camera at its best. Competitively priced and easy to use, it works well as a beginner’s camera, but professionals will find it limiting.
