Samsung Digimax Pro 815

There’s not a great deal wrong with the Pro815. The auto-focus isn’t as sharp as it should be but there’s good manual back-up here. The lack of some sort of anti-shake technology is a weak point but image quality is as good as any 8Mp compact. Shop about for a good deal and you’ll be happy with the Pro815.

Solid build and a very fine lens - the full manual controls means that not only does it look like an SLR but it also works like one. I've tested this camera in all conditions and love it dearly. The noise levels on high ISO settings can be a little too much but that's the only thing I can pick fault with and it's ideal for sports and wildlife photography.
