Sony has built this camera to a price, and that’s a
shame as it’s capable of some stunning images. If
you can ignore the build quality and get your head around all those buttons, switches and sliders, then it’s great. Shame about the Sony kit lens though! Also consider:

I have just taken control of the Sony Alpha 350 with live view. The sony A350's body is cheap feeling and easy to scratch( keep your nails short ! ).The handgrip is smaller than the A100.The A350 feels slightly lighter and smaller than the A100 so if your expecting heavier and bigger forget it!.The shutter speed is far superior to that of the a100, smoother and quieter.The picture quality is at least 50% better than the a100.The live view screen is fantastic for those akward, hard to get to shots and focus's really quickly. I was amazed by the live view it is a fantastic addition to this camera. Boasts 14.2 meg, however if shooting in continous mode it seems to take longer to process the information, but well worth the extra second. There is so much more to say about it but id be here for another hour !.Great camera, great price,great images and to top it all takes lenses by sigma, sony and minolta. If your thinking of getting into photography then This is the ideal camera.
