For many of us, a good portrait shot is the best thing about photography. We're all innately interested in other people - just take a look at all the magazines filled with images of celebrities if you don't believe me. Even more satisfying is the process of shooting people we know and like. Friends and family are excellent subjects on which to practice your portrait skills... and they won't be afraid to give you honest feedback.
