If you can't afford an SLR or don't want to carry around a bulky kit, then the Olympus Camedia C-7070WZ is hard to beat. Its battery life is great, the lens is superb – the only thing lacking is a little more telephoto range. Even so, this is a great all-rounder that would serve you well for travel or reportage work.
