Acer has jumped on the photo bandwagon with and impressive package but it suffers in two areas; its pricepoint and image quality in dimly lit or high contrast situations. There needs to be a price drop to be competitive in this market, such as the Optio S6 excel. If that happens, it could be worth a punt as a second camera.
