"I was taking a Sunday afternoon stroll near a local quarry and saw the Komatsu sitting on its own close to the path. I used a Sigma 10-22mm at 10mm for effect, dropped down low, set the camera to Auto Exposure Bracketing and took three shots. The processing and tone mapping was done in Photomatrix with a few final touches added to the levels and curves in CS3."

Why this won:
